Library

Here we have a list of relevant links relating to musicology, recordings, degree projects, theses, early music and much more.
Sheet music
The Library houses a large variety of sheet music
from most genres and for most instruments. Sheet music purchased before
1992 is registered in the Library’s card catalogue. Sheet music
purchased thereafter is registered in the University’s internet-based
catalogues LOVISA and LIBRIS.
CDs and LPs
The Library has about 6000 CDs from various
genres and can be borrowed for 14 days.Most CDs are registered in the internet
catalogues LOVISA and LIBRIS.
The Library also has a large collection of LPs which are registered in the Library’s card catalogue and in separate lists.
Books
The Library houses books on subjects which concern
music, pedagogy and eurhythmics. Most are available for loan but there
is also a reference collection which includes encyclopaedias,
dictionaries and certain standard and general books on music.
Journals
The Library subscribes to hundreds of journals within
the subject areas of music and teaching. All journals are available for
loan with the exception of the latest issues which can be found on
display in the Library.
Video/DVD
The Library also has a selection of music videos and
DVDs, which can be borrowed for up to 14 days.
The Library on the Internet
From within the Library or
from your study room or home you are able to use electronic aids offered
to you by the libraries of Lund University and the Malmö Academy of
Music. Examples of what is available include databases, e-publications
and guides to searching on the internet and in LOVISA.
