MARIKA FÄLTSKOG – New Professor of Violin from September 2009.
A donation from leading industrialist Sten K Johnson has made possible the appointment of an adjunct professor of the violin and the further development of international guest professor activities within the area of string instruments at the Malmö Academy of Music, Lund University. The professorship has been taken by Marika Fältskog, 1st concertmaster of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra.
After a performance of Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor together with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra on Thursday October 8 in the Malmö Concert House, there was a ceremony held to welcome Marika Fältskog to the Malmö Academy of Music as Professor of Violin. The ceremony was conducted by Ingalill Rahm Hallberg, professor and vice chancellor of Lund University and the donor himself, Sten K Johnson.
