Information

GLOMAS is a highly innovative, interdisciplinary program that is responsive to new needs arising from globalization in the field of music. The program emphasizes development of ”bimusical” performance skills (typically within at least two traditions from different parts of the world), as well as studies of topics relevant to the career of a professional musician, including such areas as musical leadership and instructional skills, project management, and applied research.

You will study in and experience three Nordic countries, deepen and develop your artistry and technical proficiency, simultaneously acquiring an advanced knowledge of the existing Nordic multicultural music scenes, with the possibility of fieldwork in the southern hemisphere. As a graduate you will be well prepared for professional work in the global music field, both in the Nordic market and internationally. The programme leads to a Master Degree of Music (MMus).

The common language of the programme is English.
