Malmö Academy of Music’s Symphony Orchestra

Malmö Academy of Music's Symphony Orchestra consists of more than a hundred students who work in intensive projects under the direction of nationally and internationally established guest conductors. The repertoire consists of Classical, Romantic, and contemporary music and when the orchestra does not play at the Malmö Academy of Music, it tours regularly.

Damkören

Damkören (the Women's Choir) was formed in 2011 by Lena Frisk, senior lecturer in choir singing and choir management. The choir consists of about thirty singers from various backgrounds – some are young students, and some are experienced choir singers with a background in one of the region's many choirs. The repertoire focuses on classical music for women's choir a cappella, but mixes everything from folk music to hymns, century-old music to contemporary pieces. The women's choir participates in concerts given by Malmö Academy of Music, but they also carry out their own projects and collaborations.

The choir rehearses every Wednesday during the school year. New members are accepted at the start of the autumn term if they pass the audition. To sign up for the Women's Choir, register at www.antagning.se and make an application between 1 March - 15 April.
