Admission to Church music – Vocal and Choir, Master's level

PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME IN MUSIC | CHURCH MUSIC – VOCAL AND CHOIR

No admission 2022

You apply for the programme at www.antagning.se.
Approximately 3 weeks before the entrance exams, an invitation is sent to the email address you provided when you made your application. The invitation contains information on the exact date, time and place of the admission test as well as the notes of a compulsory choir piece.

In order to prepare yourself properly before the admission test, carefully read the information below so you know which tests you have to complete and how they are performed.

Admission test

The admission test consists of four subtests:

  • Score play: You should be able to analyse a choir score and transfer it to piano. Preparation time is given for this task.
  • Conducting: You rehearse and perform a piece of your choice (3-5 parts) with a vocal ensemble for approximately fifteen minutes. About three weeks before the tests, you will also receive a mandatory piece. This one must be performed without repetition as a ‘concert piece’.
  • Vocal skills: You are given the opportunity to show your vocal skills. You perform two songs free of choice.
  • Interview: In a short interview you have the opportunity to describe your background, special areas of interest, etc.

Reminder

In order to meet the entry requirements for a Master’s programme you have to be able to demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree in Music or equivalent at the beginning of the term.
