Arranging/Composition – Classical Specialization


The musician education in Arrangement/Composition, classical specialization is aimed at you who want to become a classical arranger but with practical skills also in classical composition, with the goal that you will find your own personal tone language in your arrangements and compositions.

The education offers a three-year study program at bachelor's level and aims to train you as an organizer with good artistic and professional ability so that after completing the education you should be prepared to with creative knowledge and skills be able to creatively work in your own professional role in a working and cultural life in constant change and development.

The bachelor's program gives you a solid craft foundation partly in the arrangement subject and partly in traditional music theory in subject areas such as harmonization, four-part movement, form theory, analysis, notation and music theory. You also get the skills required to study for a master's degree with a high degree of independence. Teaching is given in arrangement / composition, electroacoustic music, instrumentation, hearing / analysis, counterpoint, piano / hearing playing, ensemble conducting, music as a profession and music and society in the form of individual lessons, group lessons and seminars. Projects and degree projects are included.
