Cantor | University Diploma Programme in Church Music
This two-year Cantor programme leads to a University Diploma in Church Music (120 ETCS).
The programme is aimed at those who want to work as musicians within the Church of Sweden or in other congregations. You will be trained to become a musician with high artistic and pedagogical ability. The focus is on developing your instrumental skills and artistic ability. The programme also gives you the pedagogical and psychological insights and skills that working in a congregation may require. The studies include organ playing, singing, conducting, piano, movement theory, liturgy and teaching methodology.
In order to achieve the degree of Cantor the student must also have successfully completed the foundation course of the Church of Sweden.
