Church Music

MASTER'S PROGRAMME IN MUSIC · 120 CREDITS · 2 YEARS

The Master’s programme in Church Music aims to train musicians with excellent artistic, pedagogical and professional abilities.

After completing the programme students shall have well-developed knowledge, understanding and skills to be able to partake in various forms of professional work such as soloist work, as a member of a fixed ensemble or as a musician within a parish of the Church of Sweden or other congregations. Students shall also have developed the ability to study independently.

In addition, after completing the programme, students shall have acquired thorough entrepreneurial skills that increase their professional versatility in an ever-changing ecclesiastical and cultural life.

The Master’s programme in Church Music is two years in length. Students may have a number of teaching elements and projects in common with other students of church music or performance studies.
