Composition/Arrangement – Jazz Specialization


The bachelor's programme in Arrangement/Composition, jazz specialization is aimed at you who want to develop your knowledge in jazz composition and arrangement.

The education offers a three-year study program at the bachelor's level and aims to provide you with the artistic and craft knowledge required to realize your artistic visions. After completing the training, you should have the skills, creativity and drive required to make your music a part of the jazz scene.

The bachelor's program gives you a solid foundation in craftsmanship in areas such as composition, form, harmonization, chord making and polyphony. Through the subject electroacoustic music, which is also a basic course in recording technology, you will have access to the music academy's studios. In addition to the education's stylistic main focus jazz, you will also gain good knowledge of classical techniques such as orchestration and counterpoint. Teaching is given in arrangement / composition, electroacoustic music, instrumentation, hearing / analysis, counterpoint, piano / hearing playing, music and society, ensemble management with conducting and music as a profession in the form of individual lessons, group lessons and seminars. Projects and degree projects are included.
