"I really enjoy it here at Malmö Academy of Music, the atmosphere is amazing"
- Malmö is a town that has everything! It feels small and cozy, yet it is a big town. Wherever you are, you can ride a bike and be anywhere you want in 20 minutes.
Svante grew up in Karlskrona, Blekinge and started playing double bass at the local music school at age of 10, but switched to electric bass as his primary instrument after only two years. At upper secondary school, he studied the arts programme at Thörnströmska Gymnasiet in his home town. After graduating upper secondary school he studied two years at Furuboda Folkhögskola (pre-college) in Yngsjö before he entered the Malmö Academy of Music.
- My plan was initially to study at Furuboda for one year and then pursue a master of science in engineering, but at the end of my first year I felt that this simply can’t be my last commitment to music. So instead I continued my studies at Furuboda one more year and then attempted an audition to Malmö Academy of Music, and got in. I plan to study mathematics as my secondary field of teaching, which means the third and fourth year will be placed in Lund.
- I really enjoy it here at Malmö Academy of Music, the atmosphere is amazing. All the teachers I have had are fantastic, and this is one of the reasons why I chose to study here. My electric bass teacher at Furuboda also teaches at the Academy of music.
Svante’s apartment is close to the academy and he likes it here in Malmö.
