You register at The audition for admission to the Interpretation Diploma will take place through audition at the Malmö Academy of Music during week 10 (March 8-14, 2021). A separate invitation to the audition is sent to applicants who have uploaded the documentation requested in the audition information for the programme. The documents must be received by the Malmö Academy of Music no later than 25 January, 2021. After this date, your application will be handled as late registration and you may then miss your opportunity to be offered a place on the education you are applying for.

Audition information

When you apply for this programme, you must upload samples of work via the link below. First read the audition information and instructions on how to upload your samples of work carefully before starting the upload.

Applicants for performance programme in singing / instruments must have completed basic music education and have a broad and extensive repertoire.

Upload the following samples of work:

  • CV including previous music studies and a description of current musical activities
  • Complete repertoire list
  • Audition repertoire list: List of the program you want to perform during the audition. You must prepare a 40-minute program that clearly demonstrates your musical and artistic level. The repertoire should reflect different stylistic epochs and we would like to see one of the works represent contemporary music.

The samples of work must be uploaded to the Malmö Academy of Music via the link below no later than 25 January 2021.

Based on the material that has been received in the form of samples of work, applicants are called for the audition at the Malmö Academy of Music during week 10 (March 8-14, 2021). The invitation is sent to the email address you provided when you made your application. The invitation contains information on the date, time and place of the audition.

From your audition repertoire list, you present two pieces: one you choose yourself, the other is chosen by the jury at the time of the audition. The jury may request additional pieces from the prepared repertoire.

Please note: You who apply for the Interpretation Diploma Programme are asked to contact accompanist on your own expense for the audition. The Malmö Academy of Music can, if necessary, mediate contact with a pianist, contact admissons [at] mhm [dot] lu [dot] se

Instructions for electronic uploading of work samples

  1. Check that you have signed up for the program you are applying for at

  2. Download "repertoire list" from this webpage to your computer. The document is a writable PDF so you should be able to fill it in directly on the computer. Enter which pieces you want to perform during the test session at the Malmö Academy of Music during week 10. Be sure to save the file as a PDF on your computer. Name the file according to the following example:
    Selected Audition Repertoire_LaJo_990230 (In the example, the applicant is named Lars Jonsson born February 30, 1999)

  3. Save other requested text documents as PDF files and name them with title_your initials_date of birth (year/month/day) according to the following example:
    Previous studies_LaJo_990230
    Complete repertoire list_LaJo_990230

  4. Create a new folder on your computer. Name the folder with the abbreviation INTERDIPL_your full name_date of birth (year/month/day). Example: INTERDIPL_LarsJonsson_990230

  5. Put all your files in the folder and save it on your computer. The folder must not exceed 5GB in size.

  6. Open the link for uploading work samples. You will find the link at the bottom of this page - Upload your work samples here

  7. Download or drag the entire folder from your computer into the upload window. Enter the same email address as when you made your registration at Upload!

  8. When the upload is complete, you will receive a confirmation directly in the browser. Do not close the browser until the upload is complete.

NOTE! It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the work samples are complete according to the  audition information and that they are submitted in the correct format. Never send your work samples to the admissions email. They will end up wrong and your application will not be considered complete.

April 28: Last day to reply to your offer

Please note, that to meet the entry requirements for Master’s Level, you have to be able to demonstrate a Bachelor’s degree in Music or equivalent at the beginning of the semester.
