Admission to Performance programmes in Music

Malmö Academy of Music accepts a great number of international Bachelor's and Master's students every year. International Bachelor's and Master’s applicants must follow the same procedures for admission as the Swedish students.

  • Application for the Bachelor's Programme (except for the World Music programme and Individual programme) must be carried out at the Swedish website antagning.se, even if you are an international applicant.
  • Application for the Bachelor's Programme: World Music programme, Individual programme as well as all the the Master's programmes can be done in English at universityadmissions.se

Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland are generally required to pay an application and tuition fee of SEK 190 000 (20 500 Euro) per year.


Lund University Global Scholarship

International students at Malmö Academy of Music can get scholarship grants that may cover partial or up to the full tuition fee. The scholarship percentage awarded depends on each programme's / faculty's available budget. The Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts holds one grant per year. Note that scholarships are to be used toward tuition fees only, living costs are not covered. Scholarship recipients must still be able to fund their living costs, as per the requirements of the Swedish Migration Agency.

In order to be offered a place at the Performance programme you have applied for, in addition to passing results on your audition, you also need to have approved results on other qualifying tests. Which tests you need to complete depends on which programme and which specialisation you are applying for.
