Malmö Opera Academy – Music Drama - Répétiteur
Within the framework of the programme, students are offered classes in piano, playing recitative and orchestral scores, conducting and leading ensembles, singing, harpsichord, music history, language and industry knowledge. The student is given the opportunity to meet visiting coaches, singers, répétiteurs and conductors in connection with Malmö Opera’s current repertoire.
On completion of the programme, the student shall have acquired the knowledge and skills required to work as a répétiteur in musical theatre productions. The degree project takes place through an internship at Malmö Opera. At the start of the studies, an individual study plan is established between the student, the Malmö Academy of Music and Malmö Opera.
As the Malmö Academy of Music is a part of Lund University, the programme also benefits from a close connection to the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts, which includes the Malmö Theatre Academy and the Malmö Art Academy, as well as the Inter Arts Center. This results in exciting joint projects and collaboration opportunities.
