Performance Programmes in Music ⎢Bachelor's Level

Description of Programme of Study

The focus of the programme is to develop the individual’s skills in playing and creating music. A lot of time is given to instrument and interpretation studies. Teaching consists primarily of individual classes but group classes are also held in various forms including master classes.

In addition to this, the Performance Programme’s woodwind specialisation works intensively with repertoires for wind quintets, serenade ensembles and orchestras. All work is presented in the form of concerts held either in one of the Academy’s concert halls or in public venues.

Students of the woodwind specialisation may apply for a sizable scholarship, namely the Malmqvist Scholarship (Malmqviststipendiet). Those interested in applying for the scholarship should, in order to fulfil the scholarship’s requirements, apply for it at the entrance tests held in March.
