Have you been accepted at Malmö Academy of Music? Congratulations and welcome! Here we have gathered everything you need to know before term starts.

Checklist – this is what you need to do:

Malmö Academy of Music will send out a welcome email to all students mid June. Do not forget to read it!

The first thing you need to do is activate your student account at passport.lu.se. Information on how to do this will be sent to the same email address you used when you applied for your programme at universityadmissions.se or antagning.se.

You need your student account in order to access wifi, your student email and the Canvas learning platform (among other things). If you already have an active account, you do not need to reactivate it.

Between 22–27 August, you must register at your programme. This is done in a student administration system used at all Swedish universities and college universities called Ladok.

Student involvement is a prioritised matter at our academy to ensure and maintain the high quality of our education. Students' interests are guarded by the student union.

The student union at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts is an association of students from Malmö Academy of Music, Malmö Art Academy and Malmö Theater Academy. Each institution has its separate section which ensure that students are represented on the Faculty Board, the institutions’ Board of Directors, as well as the Study Council. Students are also represented on the Academic Appointments Board, who sees to new hires and the promotion of teachers.

The student union’s main task is to guard, maintain and improve the quality of the education but they also arrange social activities. The union is a non-religious and non-partisan organisation.

Do you want to get involved? Contact the student union at: musik [dot] skfm [at] gmail [dot] com (musik[dot]skfm[at]gmail[dot]com)
