Technical equipment & instruments

This is where you will find information about what applies when it comes to the support of, the use of and the how-to's of borrowing the school's technical equipment and instruments.

The Technical Department consists of two technicians who are available for questions about the school's technical equipment and instruments. They ensure that the equipment on campus is receiving service, and is updated as needed. If you discover that something is broken, or does not work properly, report this to the Technical Department through the Helpdesk as soon as possible, select ticket type: ‘AV & Instruments / Report faulty equipment & instruments’.
Both students and teachers at the Malmö Academy of Music have the possibility to ask for technical advice, borrow technical equipment and instruments to use in their studies / teaching. You can also make requests for increased technical functionality at the school.
You will find the Technical Department in the corridor behind the reception, in room B206, marked with 'AV service'.
For pianos, grand pianos and cembalos there is another technician specialized in these. For more information, see ‘Piano and piano service’ in the menu on the left.
Booking requests for equipment and instruments are always made through Helpdesk, select ticket type: 'AV & Instruments / Services & Loans'
Remember to send your booking request well in advance and to always state clearly what the equipment is meant to be used for, and for what purpose.
Students and staff have a joint responsibility to take care of the school's equipment and premises. Faulty equiment and defects in the rooms needs to be reported to the Helpdesk as soon as possible, and for more urgent cases contact the Technical Department directly.
