Fire, security and theft
Security and fire
Call 112 in case of an emergency and inform the reception if it is open.
In case of a fire you should always follow the instructions you find posted around the academy's premises.
Theft
The academy is visited by 600–700 people daily. Sometimes it is difficult to detect if any unauthorised outsiders enter the building. Never leave your instrument or other items of value unattended.
If you notice anyone behaving suspiciously inside or outside the school, contact reception. Do not try to remove the person/people yourself. The same applies if you discover something seriously wrong in the building. During the evening or weekend, call Lund University’s emergency number +46 46 22 20 700.
Do not let anyone you do not know enter the academy when you are using the main entrance. Ask to see their LU card before allowing them to pass. Malmö Academy of Music is not responsible for valuables or belongings.
Please contact Brian O'Driscoll, if you have any questions, concerns or have been in an unsafe situation.
