Emil Fredberg Zander is a musician and cultural producer with extensive experience in singing, piano, composition, orchestral conducting and band leadership.

He studied at Malmö Academy of Music, where he earned a bachelor's degree in composition and arranging in 2018. He then continued his studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen where he obtained a master's degree in conducting in 2022. He has also studied vocal jazz at Skurups Folkhögskola and began his studies at S:t Sigfrids Folkhögskola.

During his studies, Emil founded the Scandinavian Jazz Orchestra, which performs newly written modern jazz music. He also sang for a long time in the internationally renowned chamber ensemble Svanholm Singers, where he has also been chairman of the board, guest conductor and composer. In addition, Emil has participated in several national and international tours with the ensemble.

Emil also works as a producer and host at Radio Sweden, where he is responsible for musical content and recordings for the programmes ’Konsert i P2’ and ’Jazz Radio’. Alongside his work at Radio Sweden, Emil actively freelances as a singer in southern Sweden, Copenhagen and the Gothenburg area, both as a soloist and choir singer. He also runs the jazz octet Fredbergs Orkester, which he co-founded in 2012.

Music has always been a central part of my life. Through my studies and professional experiences, I have found my passion for creating and performing music. Every project and every performance gives me the opportunity to grow as a musician and as a person. I look forward to continuing to explore new musical horizons and sharing my love of music with others.
