Johannes Rückert Becker is a singer, educator and arranger with a passion for vocal music in all its forms. With a background in both ensemble and solo singing, he has made a name for himself on the Swedish and international vocal scene.

Johannes graduated from the Music Teacher Training Programme at Malmö Academy of Music in 2019, specialising in Pop/Rock with voice as his principal instrument.

During his studies, he deepened his knowledge of choral singing, solo performance, and arranging in an inspiring environment where encounters with other musicians and educators played a crucial role.

His years in Malmö were also filled with musical projects across the Öresund region, providing him with valuable experience and new musical perspectives. During this time, Johannes became a member of the jazz-focused vocal group Touché, with whom he sang from 2016 to 2021. In 2022, he joined the internationally renowned vocal ensemble The Real Group, where he is currently an active member. Through his work with the ensemble, he has the opportunity to explore a cappella music at the highest level, both on stage and as an educator.

Alongside his work as a performer, Johannes teaches singing privately, at upper secondary level and at performing arts schools. Combining his own artistic development and experiences with inspiring and educating others is something he regards as one of the most rewarding aspects of his profession.

Malmö Academy of Music has played an important role in my career, both through the knowledge I acquired and the networks and collaborations that were formed there. The experiences I gained clearly continue to influence my artistic and educational work today.
