Ana Caballero Argente | Trumpet
Ana was born in Navarrés (Valencia, Spain) in 2000. She began studying trumpet and piano at the age of five at her local music school before continuing her education in both instruments at Conservatorio Maestro Ponce in Chella.
In 2017, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in trumpet at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia under the guidance of Professor Ricardo Ortega. Ana completed her final year of undergraduate studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she studied with Ad Welleman as her main teacher.
In 2023, she earned her Master's degree at Malmö Academy of Music, where she studied with renowned professors Gustav Melander and Håkan Hardenberger. She continued her development in 2024 by undertaking a Performance Studies course at the same institution, working with the same teachers.
Alongside her formal education, Ana regularly attended lessons with Rubén Marqués and Luis González and participated in masterclasses led by internationally acclaimed trumpeters, including Gábor Tarkövi, Andrea Lucchi, Allen Vizzutti, Mireia Farrés, Pierre Badel, and Germán Asensi, among others.
Ana has been an active member of several prestigious youth orchestras, such as the Valencian Community Youth Orchestra (JOGV), the University of Valencia’s Philharmonic Orchestra (OFUV), and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE). Since 2022, she has also been a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). Additionally, she has performed with professional orchestras, including the Valencian Community Orchestra, Malmö Symphony Orchestra, and Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
In May 2024, during her final year at Malmö Academy of Music, Ana won the Tutti Trumpet position with Malmö Symphony Orchestra, marking an exciting milestone in her professional career.
