The title of our presentation refers to the collaborative dimensions of the Nordic Network for Music Education in professional development and knowledge development within our research field. This includes networking between senior and junior researchers, supervisors from different institutions, master students, Ph.D. students and the many discussions, challenging previous beliefs, that shape the development of a scientific field. The field of music education has, during recent decades, had to respond to the rapid changes in society caused by migration, calling for adjustments, re-conceptualizations, and ethical considerations.
