To mark the beginning of this collaboration, Prof. Yoko Ebara, Dean of Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, and Prof. Hans Hellsten, Head of Department at Malmö Academy of Music, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.
The collaboration with the prestigious Senzoku Gakuen College of Music forms part of the Internationalisation Strategy 2026–2028 adopted by Malmö Academy of Music, which aims to strengthen the academy’s global engagement in education, artistic practice, research, and societal outreach.
The Memorandum of Understanding is founded on a shared commitment to value-based cooperation and to establishing a network of like-minded institutions, with a focus on reciprocity, artistic quality, and long-term relevance.
The partnership also creates opportunities for the two institutions to develop future artistic collaborations, research initiatives, and mobility activities.
