Read more about other qualifying tests

ELIGIBILITY AND SELECTION
To be eligible for the program, you must have:

  • General eligibility for higher education studies
  • Specific eligibility in the form of passing results in all qualifying tests: main instrument test, music theory test, and piano test. The piano test applies only to applicants for classical programs other than piano, guitar, and harpsichord.

Selection is based on the results of the entrance tests.

Assessment criteria for the main instrument test:
The assessment is based on two main areas: technical proficiency and artistic expression. To achieve a passing result, the applicant must reach an adequate level in both areas. Applicants are then ranked according to the level achieved.

Instructions and criteria for work samples:

Please read all information carefully.

To ensure your video recordings are accepted for assessment, you must follow these instructions:

  • Identification: Begin each video by identifying yourself – film your ID or passport, and your face. Clearly state which piece you will be performing.

  • Framing: Your face, hands and instrument must be visible at all times.

  • Recording: Perform and record one (1) piece/audition task per film. No technical edits are allowed.

  • Audio quality: Use your phone's microphone or an external room microphone. The sound should be of good quality, without excessive room acoustics, distortion, or noise.

  • Video quality: The video recordings must have good image quality with good contrast and light.

  • File format: You must upload the recordings in MP4 format. Other file formats are not allowed. Your folder with work samples must not exceed 5 GB.

If the instructions are not followed, or if the video files are deemed to be modified, your work samples may be considered invalid.

  1. Read the information carefully to ensure you send the correct files in the correct format.
  2. Make sure you have applied for the programme at antagning.se or universityadmissions.se
