WORK SAMPLES
Round 1 (uploaded work samples)

You must upload:

  • four-five (4-5) representative samples of work (compositions) in written form (scores as PDF files) with detailed notes. Include live or synth recordings (as MP3 files) with detailed recording notes. It is important that you submit both scores and sound files.

  • a written text stating the goals you have with your studies.

  • a CV/resumé detailing grades from previous studies, plus information on teachers, schools, level of previous studies and areas of specialisation.

  • complete list of works and preferably also comments.

Please note: if you are applying for both Composition and Arrangement/Composition, classical specialisation, you only need to submit one (1) set of work samples, but you still need to register for both programmes on antagning.se. If you are applying for both programmes, it is also possible to send more than five (5) work samples so that both compositions and arrangements are available for the jury to assess.

The work samples must be uploaded via the link below no later than 22 January 2025.

How to upload your work samples

  1. Read the information carefully to ensure you send the correct files in the correct format.
  2. Make sure you have applied for the programme at antagning.se or universityadmissions.se

Prepare your files

  • Save the scores you want to submit as PDFs.

  • Name each file with a title and number, your initials (first name + surname, two letters each), and your date of birth (YY/MM/DD). Separate the data with underscores (_).

    • Example: Part1_JeSm_990230 (for Jessica Smith, born 1999-02-30)
    • The next file is named Part2_JeSm_990230, and so on.

  • Save the audio files you want to submit in MP3 format and name each file with title, initials and date of birth.

    • Example: Title1_JeSm_990230

  • If you want to use links to YouTube, Soundcloud, your own website or similar as work samples, write full link names in a separate text document and save it as a PDF. Name the PDF file according to the format: Links_JeSm_990230

  • Save your other text documents as PDFs and name them with title_initials_date of birth.

    • Examples: CV_JeSm_990230, Plan_JeSm_990230 etc.

Create a ZIP file

  • Create a folder on your computer and name it according to the format: Full name_Date of birth (YY/MM/DD)

    • Example: JessicaSmith_990230

  • Place all files in the folder and compress it into a ZIP file. Do not use RAR, as we cannot open that format.

  • The folder must not exceed 5 GB.

Upload your ZIP file

  • Open the upload link (found further down this page).

  • Select or drag the ZIP file from your computer.
Enter the same email address you used when you applied for the programme at antagning.se or universityadmissions.se

  • Click Upload.

Once the upload is complete, you will receive a confirmation in your browser. Do not close the browser until the upload is finished.
