Interpretation Diploma
The Master’s programme in Music, Interpretation Diploma, is aimed at students who want to invest in a solo career as a singer or instrumentalist in Western art music.
The artistic and professional level is exceptionally high, and the program provides you with in-depth knowledge and skills in musical preparation and interpretation. The examination is comprehensive and consists of three parts:
- A solo concert (recital)
- A chamber music concert
- A solo performance with a professional symphony orchestra
For the final part of the examination, Malmö Academy of Music collaborates with both Malmö Symphony Orchestra and Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, offering you a unique opportunity to perform with professional musicians.

Entry requirements
General requirements for university studies in Sweden as well as a Bachelor in Music 180 credits or equivalent and successful admission tests to the Master’s Programme in Music, Diploma. Exceptions can be made from the basic eligibility requirement of proficiency in Swedish for international students.
