What are instrumentalists good for? In a world increasingly dominated by electronic sound production and the artistic supremacy of the composer or director, what agency do performers of acoustic instruments have to offer any more? 

In this lecture recital, Jack Adler-McKean, PostDoc at Malmö Academy of Music, explores these questions as he concludes his post-doctorate project in artistic research based at IAC, suggesting new ways of exploring the relationship between the sounds we make, the way we make then, and the instruments we choose make them with.
